Riverton, Wyo.—Central Wyoming College is pleased to announce the winners of the “4th Annual Fremont County Fine Art Exhibition.”  They are Rosie Ratigan,  Lilly Ritter, and Sali Allard.  Celebrating an array of local artistic talent, the exhibition has once again proven that the spirit of fine art is alive and thriving within the community. Central Wyoming College hosts this exhibition in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Gallery which will remain on view through Wednesday, Dec. 11.

This year’s First Place accolade was awarded to Rosie Ratigan for her exceptional oil on canvas painting “Roaming The Range” that captivated judges and audiences alike. Ratigan’s work was lauded for its intricate technique, depth, and evocative expression, setting it apart as a clear favorite among the panel.

Second Place was earned by Lilly Ritter, whose unique style and vibrant colors made her acrylic on canvas painting stand out, adding a fresh and contemporary touch to the exhibition. Ritter’s ability to bring her subjects to life on the canvas was a defining element of her celebrated piece.

Sali Allard took home Third Place, impressing the judges with a wool felted landscape piece that showcased remarkable craftsmanship and detail. Allard’s work embodied the themes of the exhibition beautifully, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.

The reception November 9 was a huge success,” says Nita Kehoe, Gallery Director. “We had 15 artists competing for $1000 in prize money that was generously allocated by CWC President Brad Tyndall.  More than 200 community members came out to support the arts by watching the competition and buying art.  It really feeds my soul to be able to create events like these.”

Each artist contributed to the exhibition’s success, providing the Fremont County community with a celebration of creativity, innovation, and beauty. This year’s exhibition was especially notable for the level of participation and the diverse range of styles presented.

I am honored and thrilled to receive first place in the Quick Finish competition at CWC for my bison painting ‘Roaming the Range!” says Rosie Ratigan, first place winner “A big thank you to Central Wyoming College; Nita Kehoe, President Brad Tyndall for providing the prize money, all the other artists that participated, and especially to Judge Tracy Wilcox. It is always exciting and encouraging to receive an award especially at a Quick Draw/Finish! It was a fun event and I appreciate CWC Art Department for supporting and encouraging local artists with art exhibitions and events.”

As the Fremont County Art Gallery looks forward to next year’s event, the community celebrates the inspiring achievements of these artists and the role the exhibition plays in fostering local talent.
